Niek - Product Designer Guest Journey - Team Product
For Niek, being part of the team at BEX is all about those moments when everyone works together. He feels most connected when colleagues reach out with questions or when they shape projects and goals collaboratively. The bi-weekly Product & Engineering meetings are a perfect example: the team reflects on achievements, shares highlights and takes time to recognize progress. And honestly, sometimes it’s the smaller, informal moments, like grabbing a beer together that really strengthen the team bond.
Right now, Niek is working on improving the guest journey. That means looking at every moment where guests interact with the parks of BEX’s clients and finding ways to make it better. It’s a project that involves talking to stakeholders across the company, exchanging input, and moving forward step by step. Every improvement feels like a shared win.
Niek also feels that BEX’s culture really supports these connections. Regular masterclasses, trainings, sports events and company updates like the BEX Booster keep everyone involved. And informal activities, like Friday drinks or the annual Christmas party, make it easy to connect with colleagues outside of work too.
Merte - Social Media & Content Marketer - Team Booking Boosters
Merte feels part of the team at BEX because working together and sharing knowledge happens every day. It could be asking a quick question to a colleague, planning a project together, or discussing ideas during a team session. Collaboration is just how work happens at BEX.
She points to her work in the CRO team as a great example. Everyone brings something different to the table: some focus on data or technical knowledge, while Merte focuses on content and communication. By combining these skills, the team comes up with new ideas and stronger strategies. Together, they maintain an analytical and critical perspective, always with the shared goal of continuous improvement.
Fun activities with her own team, like Friday afternoon drinks, office parties, lunch walks or group dinners make it easy to connect on a personal level. Merte also notices that teamwork at BEX goes beyond her own team. At the end of 2025, she also worked with the Corporate Marketing team and saw how Sales and Marketing collaborate closely, especially for international projects. That experience showed her that teamwork and connection are part of the BEX culture, no matter the role or department.
Mart - Business Development Manager Benelux - Team Business Development
Mart feels that BEX’s flat and open culture makes it easy to be part of the team. Everyone can share ideas and discuss challenges openly and working in small teams means he gets to know his colleagues well.
A clear example of collaboration for Mart is the Recreatie Vakbeurs. Organizing and running the event required Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Development and Events to work closely together. It was a true team effort, and seeing everyone contribute to the same goal was very rewarding.
Mart also highlights how BEX’s flexible and open culture strengthens connections. The different workspace setups mean he works next to different colleagues every day, learning what everyone is working on. And informal moments, like Friday drinks, make it easy to connect personally with everyone.

For Hidde, being part of the team at BEX is something he feels every day. From working closely with his direct colleagues to the friendly atmosphere across the whole company, he appreciates the willingness of everyone to help each other and support their partners. Achieving shared goals together gives him a real sense of connection.

For James, connection at BEX really comes to life during the moments when everyone meets in person. Working remotely across the South West of England and South Wales can sometimes feel isolating, which makes those face-to-face moments even more meaningful. Events and team gatherings remind him of the strength of the Booking Experts family.
One moment that stood out was the Land, Leisure and Tourism Show, where not only the UK Business Development team was present, but also colleagues from across the UK and The Netherlands. Talking to clients together and leaning on each other’s expertise made him feel part of something much bigger than his own role.

A recent deal also showed him what collaboration at BEX really means. A client had very specific wishes, so James relied heavily on both the UK team and colleagues in the Netherlands. Together, they organized six focused demos in one day, each led by a different expert.
The biggest part of that project was the CMS. The client only has two locations but will be taking six CMS sites from us. Casper was a huge part of that journey, joining seven or eight calls to explain the capabilities and why it was the right solution. James built a strong relationship with the client, who even asked him to buy Casper a beer at the Christmas party in Enschede. They sent the client a photo of them raising a glass together as the deal was about to close. For James, that moment brought him closer to his Dutch colleagues and summed up what teamwork at BEX feels like.
