Data plays a crucial role in everything we do. As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain the data pipelines and infrastructure that turn raw data into valuable insights for both our customers and our internal teams.
What you will be doing
As a Data Engineer, you will independently develop and optimise the data flows within our platform. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to integrate data solutions seamlessly. Your core responsibilities include:
Designing, building, and maintaining scalable ETL processes and data pipelines
Developing data models for our Revenue Management products
Building customer-facing dashboards and self-service analytics
Optimising databases such as PostgreSQL and BigQuery for maximum performance
Supporting internal teams with data on product usage, operations, and business performance

About you
You are an experienced data expert with a strong technical background who gets energy from building robust data solutions.
At least 5 years’ experience in a similar Data Engineer role
Excellent proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern ETL processes
Solid experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and BigQuery
A Degree (BSc/MSc or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
Affinity for backend development (Ruby on Rails) or applied AI (such as forecasting and pricing models) is a plus

About Booking Experts
Our origins lie with Expert Webdesign, where we developed websites for all kinds of companies, including recreation entrepreneurs. We repeatedly encountered the same problem: the websites were far ahead of the market and competition, but lacked the ability to book a vacation directly through the website. Customers had to contact the reception desk by phone or switch to external booking platforms. We thought this could be done better and more easily.
That's why we sat down with all kinds of parties, such as receptionists, park managers, technical services, cleaners, barrier operators, and management, to identify the bottlenecks from various perspectives. The result was the development of an innovative reservation system that integrates all the essentials for recreation companies. That's how Booking Experts came into being in 2011. Our booking platform has grown to become the go-to platform for holiday parks, campsites, and hotels in various countries.
To meet growing demand, we established our marketing agency Booking Boosters in 2017. This enables us to help our customers increase their online sales and stimulate their growth. Through effective and performance-based marketing techniques, such as SEO, SEA, Affiliate Marketing, and Social Media, we help holiday parks grow and flourish!
