Level Up at Booking Experts: building a framework for growth
Growth is an important part of life at Booking Experts. As our organisation continues to grow, we also want to make sure our people grow with us.
COMING SOON: Our People & Organisation team has been working hard on a framework that helps us build a future where growth is more transparent, structured and accessible for everyone.
Three building blocks🧩
To support growth and development, we’re going to introduce a framework that consists of three building blocks. These building blocks work together and make it easier to understand roles, skills and career paths within Booking Experts:
1. Job Framework: A clear overview of roles, responsibilities and possible growth paths within the organisation. This framework structures jobs, so it will be easier to understand how roles relate to each other and how careers can develop over time.
2. Skill Navigator: To support development conversations and skill growth, we’re going to use the Skill Navigator in StudyTube (our Learning Management System). This tool will help our employees to gain insight into their current skills and discover areas where they can continue to develop.
3. Salary Framework: A transparent and fair compensation structure that will align with roles, responsibilities, and development levels across the organisation.
As a result, these building blocks will create more clarity and structure around development and growth, making it easier to navigate your career at Booking Experts.
Why are we doing this? Building for the future
As our organisation evolves, clarity becomes even more important. Our employees want to understand what is expected of them, how they can develop and what opportunities lie ahead.
Through this framework, we want to make growth within the organisation clearer and easier to navigate. It focuses on three areas:
Clarity: We’re creating a more structured approach to roles and responsibilities. Clear job profiles and transparent expectations help bring consistency across the organisation, including fair and consistent compensation.
Development: As an employee, you will gain better insight into where you currently stand and what it takes to grow to the next level. At the same time, managers get better tools to guide development conversations and support career growth.
Insights: By making roles, jobs and growth paths clearer, we create better visibility into skills and potential skill gaps. This also helps us offer tailored training and development opportunities to our employees.
