Faces of Connection at Booking Experts
At Booking Experts, connection is simple: we know each other, keep communication open and help each other move forward. That’s how we work: together as one team.
For Connection Month, we wanted to highlight colleagues who truly make BEX feel like a place where people support each other and enjoy working together. We asked our colleagues Céline and Ernest to share their stories.
Céline connects our international markets every day. Ernest makes sure teams collaborate smoothly across departments. Different roles, the same mindset: working together to move BEX forward. 💪 Let's get to know them better!
Hi Céline, how long have you been with BEX and what is your current position?
I have been working for BEX since September 2024. I was initially hired for the French market, but with the acquisition of ParcVu powered by Booking Experts in the UK and growth in Scandinavia, I now support multiple markets.
My role as a International Business Coordinator is to support the international growth of the brand together with the rest of the Sales team.🌍
What do you enjoy most about your work at BEX?
The BEX culture of course, and the diversity and flexibility of my job.
What do your working days look like?
It’s never the same. Some days I’m working on contracts, other days I’m giving demos to potential clients (which are my favourites), and preparing partnership proposals. I also make sure I stay up to date with product releases.
Some weeks are spent in the office, others are dedicated to travelling for trade fairs.
And your day off?
With Eleanor, my daughter of 4 years old, a day off is quickly filled. We are a little weather influenced in the Netherlands. 😉 On a rainy day off, we stay home and be creative or go to the cinema. On a nice day, we spend our time outside, roller skater, skateboarding or biking. Of course travelling, in April we will go to Barcelona and Denmark in the summer. 🇩🇰🇪🇸
How do you manage regular contact and collaboration with all the different countries and departments?
For colleagues who are not in the office, especially in France, Denmark and the UK, online meetings are crucial. We have a lot of those. We also stay connected daily via Slack. This applies not only to Sales but also to Marketing and other teams.
What’s the most rewarding part of connecting with colleagues across teams and locations?
Seeing colleagues grow in their roles and find their place within their teams. I’m also part of the BEX buddy program, which I find very rewarding.
What tips would you give others at to build stronger connections?
Don’t hesitate to step out of your comfort zone. Be curious and ask questions!😄
Hi Ernest, how long have you been with BEX and what is your current position? Can you tell us a little bit about your role?
I’ve been at Booking Experts for almost five years. I started as Business Development Manager for Benelux, which was the only sales team at the time.
Since 1 January this year, I’ve been working in Sales Solutions, where I support the International Sales teams and help them close deals by giving them the tools and knowledge they need.
I work closely with Product, Partnerships, Customer Success and Marketing to make sure Sales can perform at their best.✅
What do you enjoy most about your work at BEX?
The freedom to develop yourself and the fact that everyone is open to helping each other so we can achieve the best results together.
The moments between hard work, like chatting and laughing together are important and create a great atmosphere. And of course: the parties!🥳
What do your days off look like?
As a father of two young children (Lennon, 6, and Phyllon, 4), most of my free time is spent with them. Playing football and going for walks in the woods together is great.⚽
I also play football every weekend with my friends’ team at SDVB in Barneveld. The level may not be what it used to be, but I still enjoy it every week.
How do you manage regular contact and collaboration with all the different departments and countries?
Slack and Google Meet are my go-to tools. Communication is easy, and we try to stay aligned with the international teams about what’s happening.
Clear agreements are important: for example by tagging each other in HubSpot so everyone stays informed. Especially with Sales, regular check-ins are key because things move fast. That’s what makes it dynamic and fun.
What’s the most rewarding part of connecting with colleagues across teams and locations?
It’s interesting to see how countries and markets differ and how BEX can still offer solutions that work for each of them.
Sometimes small adjustments or new insights make a big difference. The most satisfying moments are when we find solutions together and close the deal as a team.💪
What tips would you give others to build stronger connections?
As a company grows, it becomes more challenging. It’s important to show interest in each other and treat everyone with respect.
Taking the time to get to know your colleagues ensures people feel welcome and makes collaboration much easier when you need each other.💚
