In this role, you will work together with your team on a scalable and advanced all-in-one reservation system for holiday parks that needs to handle high traffic at any time of the day. As a Frontend Engineer, you will support the rest of the team in building interfaces by further developing the Booking Experts Design System.

Who are we looking for? 👀

You have an in-depth knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, with (extensive) experience in these areas. Ideally, you also have an affinity for the backend. You are capable of independently performing major UI refactors. While you usually collaborate with other colleagues, most of the work is done individually. When you take on a project, you understand its relationships with other projects and, if feasible, combine them. Additionally, you are familiar with all components of the system and can provide guidance to other engineers in choosing a solution.

We value your understanding that there are multiple ways to solve a problem, each with its pros and cons. You prioritize the solution that best balances technical and human interests. You can identify these interests and make sound judgments. You understand the user group and their needs, using this knowledge to translate them into an interface.

You are an open-minded individual, and colleagues naturally approach you for interface-building advice. Moreover, you are able to provide motivating and constructive feedback.

Your skills 🎓

• Minimum HBO-level education or equivalent. 
• Affinity with the backend (ideally Ruby). 
• Independence: As a frontend engineer, we expect a certain level of self-reliance from you, including the ability to perform major UI refactors independently.
